Installation & Running Corporal A.I.


Q: How do I install and launch Corporal A.I.?

On Windows:
1) Download the setup file to your desktop.
2) Double click on it. In the window that pops up click extract.
3) A folder called Corporal A.I. 1.6.4 should have been created on your desktop; go into it
4) Double click on the file corporal-ai-164.exe to launch the program

On Mac OS X:
First ensure that you have installed Mono

1) Download the Corporal A.I. Mac ZIP file and extract it
2) Go into the folder you've extracted Corporal A.I. to
3) Open a terminal / command prompt from this folder and use "mono corporal-ai-164.exe" to launch

On Linux:
First ensure that you have installed Mono
- the quickest way usually is using "sudo apt-get mono-complete" on Ubuntu

1) Download the Corporal A.I. Linux ZIP file and extract it
2) Go into the folder you've extracted Corporal A.I. to
3) Open a terminal from this folder and use "mono corporal-ai-164.exe" to launch

Crashes & Technical Problems

Q: Program crashes on launch with an error message:

A: If you are running Windows XP (or earlier) most likely you do not have the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer.
See the system requirements page for more details.

Q: Getting an error message when I try to change a profile picture:

A: If this happens try first clearing the picture (instead of replacing it), restart the program and then add the new picture.

Q: Program froze up when I clicked "submit for sentencing" in a new case:

A: In rare situations this has been known to occur.
